Invisalign aligners can fix any dental issues the same as braces do. It can fix conditions like:

Overbite

This condition is caused by the upper teeth covering most of your lower teeth. Sometimes called deep bite, it can cause wearing, fracturing of teeth or irritation of gums. Invisalign
® can treat this condition and help fix the smile that you've always wanted.

Underbite
When the lower teeth cover your top teeth, it causes an underbite, which is the opposite of overbite. This can cause disruption in chewing, headaches, and jaw pain. Invisalign® can help!

Crossbite
When you bite down and notice that some of your upper teeth are not sitting in front of your lower teeth, that is called crows bite. This condition can cause teeth to be traumatized during chewing, and wear and fracture over time from being in the wrong position. Invisalign
® can help position teeth in the right place and get the perfect smile.

Open bite
When your upper front teeth don’t reach all the way to the bottom front teeth when you bite down, that causes an open bite, which can be uncomfortable and prevent you from biting down on food properly with your front teeth. Invisalign
® can help to treat open bites.

Gapped teeth
Spacing in between teeth cause many issues, from food getting trapped, gum disease, jaw pain, and teeth fracturing. Invisalign
® can help close the spaces and align your teeth properly.

Crowding
When there is not enough space in the mouth, teeth will crowd and cause food to be trapped and difficult to remove and clean, which can lead to gum disease, tooth fractures and wear that can lead to tooth breaking and tooth loss. Invisalign
® can straighten the teeth and help with maintaining a healthy, beautiful smile.

  • How does Invisalign® work?

Invisalign® straightens teeth using clear aligner trays. Click here to view a video of the process.

First, our scanner will create a digital image of your teeth. Using this digital image, Dr. Idrizi will create an individualized plan to straighten your teeth using a series of aligner trays that gradually move the teeth in a desired direction. After the plan is created and approved, Dr. Idrizi will order your aligner trays from the lab. Once we receive your aligner trays, we will place temporary attachments on your teeth that will firmly hold the aligner trays in place so you can begin wearing them. Every week, you will put on a new set of aligner trays that will move your teeth one step closer to perfection. Upon completion, we will remove the attachments and you will get a nightly retainer to keep your newly moved teeth into place.

  • Are there restrictions with Invisalign®?

There are no eating or drinking restrictions with Invisalign®. However, we recommend you do not eat foods that can permanently stain your aligner trays, such as turmeric, curry, or mustard.  You can  remove your aligner trays when brushing and flossing your teeth. While it is important to clean your teeth, just remember that Invisalign® will only work when the aligner trays are in your teeth so try to put them back in immediately afterwards. It is important to clean your teeth & aligner trays if you drank any sugary beverages.

  • How do I clean my aligner trays?

Clean by brushing with a tooth brush and tooth paste. We also offer cleaning solutions.

  • Do I need to wear retainers after Invisalign® treatment?

Yes, after invisalign treatment you need to wear retainers to prevent teeth from shifting back and maintain your new beautiful smile. Click here for more info on retainers.
